This job was a complete re-render of a 17th century house.

Once the scaffold was up, the first stage was too hack off all of the existing cement render, rebuild the cob where needed, and then start to apply a base coat using haired Lime Mortar.

The 2 pictures below show the revealed Cob walls, as well as a section with the base coats applied.

Once all of the walls had been coated with base coats, we then rendered a top coat,
using unhaired Lime Mortar.
With the top coat almost dry, we then proceeded to bring the top coat up to a 'fine sandpaper' finish.

After the render had been removed and replaced, we then continued to apply the Aurora Lime Wash.

With the Lime Wash applied, Guttering cleaned, and Soffit Boards cleaned and re-painted,
the house was finished, and back to it's former glory......without the cement render!

As well as the house, the owners also wished for the barn to have the same colour
limewash, so that is what we did, which put the finishing touch on the house, and the job!
